The Michael Jewison Mistaken Identity Page

It seems there's two of me out there (which is a very scary thought). Although I am related to film producer and director Norman Jewison, I am not his son. If I understand this family tree stuff correctly, Norman and I are something like second cousins twice removed. (Norman's grandfather, Joseph, and my great-great-grandfather, James, were brothers.) I get a lot of email from people looking for Norman or who went to school with one of his kids - so if you're looking for that Michael Jewison you're looking in the wrong place. (Although, apparently, he and I are only a few months apart age-wise.)

I'd like to able to tell you that I am that Michael Jewison (well, not really, I quite like who I am thank you very much, but the story sounds better this way) who has followed in his father's footsteps into the movie business, but I can't.

Still, if you'd like to send email that's fine. I'll just politely tell you that (a) I've never met Norman, his late wife or any of his kids, (b) although he knows I exist (my mum sent him a fan letter eons ago) it's not like we have these close family ties (I mean, come on - second cousin twice removed??), and (c) I'm not in the will.
